A connection between science and art

SYNOPSIS

Quorum Ballet presents “Substances” in the year that marks the centenary of the University of Lisbon and at the same time, the International Year of Chemistry.

Through the language of dance we present a new creation inspired by the Chemical Science, specifically in the structure and properties of elements and substances.

The chemical substances will be represented by the dancers, who interact and react among themselves within a human perspective. Through body language, it’s intended to promote the meeting of two typically distinct areas: Science and Art.
