SWAN LAKE

A human tale told in the language of the present time

SYNOPSIS

The day is born on the other side of the walls of the Asylum. Inside, the madness took place of everyday life, and those who live there have forgotten of who they are. The voices and desires are muffled by the walls of this giant silent exile.

In the Asylum, the nurses are Master Queens who command the each movement of the patient’s bodies; a woman cleans up the dark wishes of others in the shade; and a man – prisoner of his own body and madness – turns his bird dreams into the bodies of patients.

As a cage where the bird does not dare hit the wings, the Asylum is a cage of people. A feather floats in the corridor… That day a new guest arrives. The music he brings along interrupts the silence. The sound of the music will spread through the exile.

In this contemporary version of the classic “Swan Lake”, the characters from the original story become involved in a human tale told in the language of present time that happens in an abandoned asylum, fertile place in bizarre figures. Between fiction and reality it explores the flaws, virtues and another human impulses, transversal to the times.
