Tap Dance Teacher
Her artistic training began with the study of music and piano and violin. In dances she had training in contemporary dance, jazz, flamenco / sevillanas, oriental dance and tango. It is worth mentioning the names of Rui Horta, Victoria Hauk, Shirin Stave, Pedro Berdayes, Kato Ribeiro, José Jimenez, Miriam Szabo, Cris Aysel, Eliseu Beja / Maria João Branco and Juan and Graciana. In Tap Dance stands out in Portugal: Michel, Monica Lapa, Lesly Lockery, Lane Alexander, Cristina Delius, Roxanne Buterfly, Derick Grant; Berlin: Cristina Delius and Guillem Alonso; Paris: Victor Cuno and Martine Raveaux; New York City: Jeannie Hill, Karen Callaway Williams, Jay Clayton (vocals), Roxane Buterfly, Jason Samuel Smith, Barbara Duffy, Lynn Schwab, Acia Gray, and others at the New York City Tap Festival (NY) in 2003 , 2004 and 2010; Stockholm: participation in the Stockholm Tap Festival in 2011 – teachers: Chloe Arnold, Michelle Dorrance, Jason Samuels Smith and Guillem Alonso in the technique of “Sand Dance”, among others. She took workshops on Dramatic Expression with Bruno Schiappa.
PROFESSIONAL AND ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE
She teaches at various schools and dance studios since 1990, especially in Lisbon. She has worked in television (programs and commercials). She participates in various animations, events and shows all over the country with American tap dance, fandango and Irish tap dance, as a solo artist and with the group “Banda do Sapato”.
In 2010 integrating the company of Cristina Delius “Chilli con Tap”, she participates in the premiere of the Project “Last Fandango” under the New York City Tap Festival.
In 1996 with Marinela and Raquel Vieira de Almeida she formed the tap dance group “Banda do Sapato”. With them, she has choreographed several works and shows that they performed throughout the country such as: “Who Turns Out the Light of the Attic?”, “Telling Stories with Feet”, “Traveling Through Time”, “Where is the little star?” ,“Who Stole Santa’s scooter? “,” Trouble on the Lighthouse Island “, ” Shell in the Soup, No! “,” A Million of Smiles “,” We Will Tap You “,” Broadway Fusion Tap Show “.

Annual participation in Tap Dance Day, with presentation of solo works, with the students and with “Banda do Sapato” . She is also responsible, together with Michel and Banda do Sapato for organizing the event.
Graduated in Psychology, she is also co-founder of Associação do Sapateado em Portugal (Portuguese Tap Dance Association) and member of the board.
