Choreographic Work and Contemporary Teacher
Inês Godinho started her studies age 3 at Ginásio Clube do Sul and the Royal Academy of Dance.
In 1999 was admitted at the National Conservatory Dance School of Lisbon where she graduated in 2007 with the diploma of professional dancer.
At the Conservatory she worked with teachers like George Garcia, Ulrike Caldas, Irina Zavialova, Marc de Graef, Mikahail Zavialova, Cristina Pereira, Antonio Carallo, Margarida Bettencourt, among others. While at the National School she has worked with choreographers such as, Nils Christe, David Fielding, César Moniz, Daniel Cardoso, Megumi Nakamura and Nicolaas Marckmann.
Between 2001 and 2007, she has done several workshops including the Royal Ballet School.
While at school, she worked with the National Ballet of Lisbon in “Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake” under direction of choreographer and artistic director Mehmet Balkan.
She danced in children’s opera “The Forest” produced in Teatro São Luis, directed by Jorge Salavisa. In October 2007 became a member of Quorum ballet.
Since then she has danced all the repertoire of the company.
In the company Inês also worked with Itzik Galili, Barbara Griggi, Pedro Dias, Elson Ferreira, António Cabrita, Filipe Narciso, Thaddeus Davis, Donald Byrd amongst others.
In 2011, Inês choreographed for the company’s 6th anniversary her first piece, “Eventually we find our way”.
Since then she has been an assiduous choreographer of the Quorum Ballet.
She also choreographed for the National Conservatory Dance School and Quorum Project.
In 2014/2015, together with Filipe Narciso, gives choreographic assistance to Daniel Cardoso at the National Company of Albania (TKOBAP).
She teaches dance classes at some dance academies including at the Quorum Academy.
In 2016, Inês created the duet ‘Good Morning Sunshine’ for the Quorum Academy and won 1st place in two different competitions in Portugal.
